Two teeth are missing.

Sara has been wiggling her two front bottom teeth for months. They just refused to some out. After Halloween she was wiggling them all the time still they hung on. Wednesday before I left for school we were talking about these very stubborn teeth. Upon looking in her mouth I found an adult tooth growing in behind the baby teeth. A call was made to the dentist and an appointment made for Thursday morning. The dentist called it shark teeth. The decision was made to have the two front bottom teeth pulled. Sara was NOT happy about it. They are gone and the adult teeth seem to be moving into place,Yeah! I am hoping that we don't have to have the dentist pull anymore.

When the Darkness Takes Over You Get Wet
The sun is shinning and the light of the day allows the vivid green, yellow, red, and orange leaves to glow. The partially naked trees, their covering on the ground dance in the breeze. A brown dead leave ripped for it’s joint flitters to the ground. The wind blowing by catches the leaf. As it rides the current whipping, whirling, and twisting it’s blown over to a round, gray, water lined, semi smooth rock at the edge of the running and splashing river. The water splashes, whirls, and swirl around the rocks that are in the way. The water overflow a rock and spills over in a rumble and splash as it rejoins itself and flows effortlessly down the mountain. A passing motorcycle growling by reminds me that this nature is surrounded by man and the things of our making.
It quiets again as the sound of the rolling water, the whispering wind take back my attention. The air grows crisp. The fingers of the cold crisp air presses it’s presence into my nose and upon my bare skin. The hair on my arms stand on end, and my skin tinkles. I look to the heavens in search of the reason. I find the glassy blue sky with it’s milky white clouds floating along as if they have not a care in the world, are being intruded upon by darkness. The glassy blue is being over taken by the darkness causing the blue to darken as deep as the darkest blue of the ocean. The milky white clouds are being shoved aside by the menacing gray clouds. The sun is being covered and forced to submit to the the dark.
The dark heavy clouds roll over the sky, threatening to rain. The air turns from crisp to cold. The wind grows angry and fierce, bending the branches of the trees toward the ground. The wind causing the leaves to be ripped from their connection to life. I watch as the world around me changes. The river turns aggressive slamming into the rocks, causing waves and great splashes. The wind hollows through the trees warning of the ever increasing loom of the pending abuse. I watch as the clouds fully engulf the sky.
Colder now, I feel the first splat of water on my arm. Drop after drop they fall to wet the earth feeding the growth of plant life around me. As the change takes over I look to my car, and then to the nearest tree for shelter. I move into the cover of the tree. Dry and safe I watch as the rain falls landing on leaves, rocks, and ground. The leaves bounce around as if connected to a spring, “bing bong.” “Splat,” as drops splash on the rocks. “Blip,” as drop after drop is enveloped into and become one with the river. The dirt changes from dry, and light to wet and heavy. The smell of wet ground lingers in my nose reminding me of being a little girl playing in the rain.
“Boom!!!” the thunder surrounds me takes center stage, and the whole world stopped to listen. Heavier and louder the rain fell soaking everything including me. The tree will no longer shelter me from the rain. “Thud, boom,” the explosion of sound engulfed the canyon as the thunder echoed. I ran for the shelter in my car as the water collided with the ground throwing mud on my shoes and pants. Tugging the keys from my pocket I reach the door. I shoved the key into the lock and twisting “click” the door unlocks. “Slam” the door groans, as I jumped inside. “Zoom” my car screamed to life. “Plink, plunk, thud, boom” the rain sounds on my car as I drive down the canyon. One more Echoing scream of fury thundered as I drive away.

Jayne and perm's

I gave Jayne a perm this morning turns out she is allergic to perms. She broke pout in a scary burn looking rash. I took out the rods and ran her to the shower She showered her for 10 minutes in cool water. I then put the neutralizer her head and neck then back in the shower. She is fine now but I was really worried I would have to take her to the ER for a few minutes there. If I were say anything about giving Jayne a perm, Which I shouldn't. Please remind me that she is allergic.

Okay Donald's now

Ok so here is my first paper for English. Robyn helped me a lot with the
Fluidity of words. I am suppose to learn to write like this for my English class, and then get better. I have to admit I really didn't get the concept until Robyn sat down with me and helped. Thanks Robyn.

It was a typical Monday. Everything was well. The birds were cooing, the sun was
shinning. Sara had gotten up, dressed, and ready for school. Time was cruising along nicely when the door bell rang. “Sara its Brynn time to go.” Out the door she flew without a goodbye, I chased her down. As I approached her Abby and Jayne came over for their farewell kiss from Sara too. Jayne being 3 and Abby being 2 are not in school yet and love to help send Sara off. While outside I begin chatting with Michelle a neighbor, and got carried away in conversation. After about 45 minutes outside Abby decided to go into the apartment. She shut the door and journeyed into play. After about 5 minutes of no Abby I decided I’d check on her. I walked over and opened the door to walk in. “WHACK!” perhaps I am confused the door didn’t open. To my astonishment it was LOCKED! I felt dumb here I am outside in my pajamas no keys
no phone no shoes and my 2 year old has locked me out. Now what? I grunted at the door. My mind begin to wander the very edges of reason in fear of what I might find when the door sprang open. Is she into my jewelry? Is she ordering from e-bay? Is she drawing a marker mural on the walls? All of the things my mind could dredged up, none were very enthralling.

I rang the doorbell repeatedly no response. I knocked, and shook the door still nothing. I yelled out “ABBY!” to which I hear a faint and distant “what?” As my mind yelled back “Don’t you what me!” My mouth more controlled replied “Come open the door!” The sweet angel in her tender trot came to the door as requested. I could hear the lock jiggle and impatiently waited for the door to open, when I hear a sweet “I can’t.” As irritation welled deep inside me knowing she can open that door she has done so before. I resounded myself to play her game. I began to think of way for her to easily unlock the door. I sent her to retrieve the stool.
I remembered it was unattainable. I redirected her to the computer chair, “Get the computer chair!” I commanded her. “Okay.” She replied. A few seconds went by, and I faintly hear “I can’t!” By now I can’t is causing grumbling within me, and a uncertain surge of tension coming for my depths. As I stood there envisioning myself flying through the door and spanking an obediently disobedient little girl, I recomposed and sent her to get a kitchen chair. Again she replied, “Okay.” A few seconds later I could hear the sounds of the chair sliding on the floor and then the thud as it hit the door. Yreka! She was on a chair at the door. The lock began to juggle again, there was no doubt the door would open this time. Then I heard it, “I can’t!” Of course you can’t! What fun is that? Open the door now and the game is
over. As I pondered my situation I recalled the sliding door on the other side of the room. Abby has never successfully escaped that door but I was becoming helpless. I instructed Abby to go open the sliding glass door. She replied again with, “Okay.”

I wandered through the wet grass barefoot dodging doggy poop, to the door. To my
astonishment I peered inside and there stood my mischievous angel in her favorite birthday suit. The one I had given her nearly 3 years ago. I chuckled and hollered for Michelle. To come see my sight, which relieved a small portion of upheaval I felt inside. As Abby struggled to unlock the door, Michelle asked if I wanted to call someone. Ah! There was a good idea. Luckily I had equipped my sister Robyn with a key, and she would be coming along soon. I could call and put rush on her arrival. I called, it rang, “Please pick up!” She did and hysterically was on her way. Now to wait it out. Relaxing, conversing, and waiting when Michelle brilliant as ever suggested I tell Abby that Jayne and I are going to McDonald’s and will be back later. I did just that. Abby was not impressed! She began to yell, and informed me that I was not leaving her. I walked back over sat down and continued to wait. A couple of minutes passed and the door suddenly sprang open and a fully clothed ready for McDonald’s, Abby walked out saying. “Okay Donald’s now.”

Abby locked me out.

This morning when Sara left for school I stepped out and was talking to the neighbor. We talked for about and hour. During this time Jayne and Abby were in and out of our apartment. One of the time Abby went in she shut the door. She likes to shut the door so I thought nothing of it. After her being inside by herself for a little bit I went to check on her. I found the door locked. I ran the door bell, knocked and the door and yelled for her telling her to open the door. I hear her tell me "I can't" from somewhere back in the apartment. I finally got her to come. She couldn't unlock the door. She tried to get the computer chair over to the door, but my cosmetology bag was in the way. So I here "I Can't" again. Then get the yellow chair from the kitchen I tell her. "Ok" she says. anyway she tries and tries but can't unlock the door. (I know she can but she wont.) I then went around to the sliding glass door to get her to open it. I found a naked little girl running a muck in my home. She couldn't unlock the door. So I called Robyn who has a spare and luckily she was on her way. I told Abby that seeing as I was stuck outside Jayne and I were going to McDonald's. She was not to happy. She got dressed and opened the front door.

Sara"s First day of 1st grade.

In Sara's words.
Sara got off to the bus on time today, headed for school. When I got there someone helped me find the right teacher. My teacher's name is Mrs. Jones. I did math and spelling practice spelling her name. For lunch I had a hot dog with ketchup and fruit then I went to recess. We went to the gym to watch whatever it's called the patriot and learn the school rules. We went to the class, and then we went to the bus. I missed my bus. Mom came and got me and I went to girl scouts.

This is me tammy, I was waiting at the bus stop when I got a call telling me that Sara missed the bus. When I arrived I found her sitting with her teacher. Her teacher was very apologetic she said it was her fault. She hadn't got her on the list as a bus child. She has that fixed and things should go off without a hitch tomorrow. I think she is going to like 1st grade. She has some of her kindergarten friends in her class.

This a story of a girl.

So as you all know I have been saying that I will be going back to school. Well I am all set to start on Wednesday the 26th. Let me tell you about my experience. I July I fully intended to get over and get the ball rolling. I waited until the week that Johanna was here so that she would sit with the girls. I worked out the Friday that week was to be the day. We all know what happened that day. Hello appendicitis. Then I had healing time I was to take. Ok so that put me at last week. On Wednesday I went over and talked with this person and that and took the assessment test. They told me that I should be able to register in 24 to 48 hours. Well that is Friday. Is past Friday I came down with an infection of some kind in my throat. I think it was tonsillitis, the doctor wasn't sure he just was positive that I needed antibiotics. Saturday was the pike of infection day. I have been getting better and hope I am done being sick for a while knock on wood!! Anyway back to the matter at hand. I went to my student "My Page" on the SLCC web site and found that I still could not register. I called and talk to someone got that started out and started to register. I pulled up the calls I needed to get into and of the 3 I could get into 1. I was not happy. So I register for the 1 class and was left to hope that I could get the instructors to let me in on the first day. I know nothing about financial aid and i scares the crap out of me. so far ever thing seems to be OK. I now get to go stand in line a financial aid to turn in one piece of paper. With that done I should be fine right?! This morning I received a phone call for a lady named Debbie, she is with the cosmetology program and has called to tell me that I need to be signed up for all the classes or non. Would I like to have them all? Of course! Apparently the is a waiting list for these classes and I by weird happening I registered for that class just as someone dropped it. So long story short I got into all the classes I need to be in and all my financial aid needs are being met. Thank Goodness.

It's finnished.

You all know hat happened in my blog about the doily. Well My wonderful mother in-law for whom that sad sad happening was for, told me to pick a different pattern. I did and now i want to tell the story of Dorine's doily #2. I had little to no problems with this one while working on it. However when I was done making it. I found pizza strains. Thanks little girls! I got out the spray and wash and ran it through the wash. The pizza didn't come out of course not why should it be that easy? I got out the bleach and bleach the spots and the rinse it out that seemed to work, thank goodness. After it dries I stretched it out and pinned it. This took of course and hour. I them sprayed starch on it, thinking Wahoo it's done. Yea RIGHT! It started to turn yellow!!! oh crap now what? I decided to wash it again. luckily it washed out the starch and apparent bleach that was still there. NO MORE YELLOW. YEAH!!!!! ok so here it is.

Girl Scouts.

Sara is now a girls scout. Some of the other kindergarten mother have started a Daisy troop. Dasie's are girls of kindergarten and 1st grade age. She is in need of some badges and pins for her tunic. We have bought her tunic and handbook. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help out with the cost of these other items. I know 12.00 isn't much but I have spent 23.00 already and I am out of funds for this month. I feel like such a heel that I am even asking but I have been told many time that when I am in need that is what family is for. Sara is very excited to be a girl scout. I remember when I was little I wanted to be a girl scout but it never happened. Jayne is excited because she gets to go to school this fall. She is patiently waiting for her acceptance letter in the mail. Jayne is working shapes so quiz her if you can. Abygail is having a great time swimming this summer and has been working on learning her colors. She is going to be wearing the color of the day for the next little while so when you see her try to talk about the color of the day with her. I am not sure what I will do with her while I go to school this fall.

A very sad story

I have been working on making a Dollie for Dorine for about 3 months. I has taken so long because I have been having issues with my left arm that has made is hard to crochet for long periods of time. This pattern has 41 rows. I was working on row 30 last week when I decided to look over the whole thing and make sure it was looking right. This is the sad part. I found a spot in the middle about rows 10-15 that had been cut. I think either Jayne or Abygail was playing in my crochet box and got the scissors and was playing with them. I was devastated! I called mom and got voice mail. I called Dorine and got answering machine. I really needed someone that would understand how I felt. As I thought of who to call, Lorene can to mind. So I called her. She was wonderful. She really did understand and has the right words to help me feel better. Thanks Lorene!!!!

Emergancy

So we got home this afternoon and found a gas leak at the apartment building next door. I call the office, matinece came over and turned off the meter. Sara was a little scared at that time because she didn't really understand what was happening. I explained to her that the if the gas was exposed to fire the it would blow up. Sara went to ask the matinece guys how they were going to fix it. One of them pick the wrong time and wrong kid to joke around with. He said that he was going to light a fire and blow up the building so that they could build a new one. Sara freaked. I told him that he better tell her he was joking and to tell her really what he was doing. He did and she was or for a few minutes. We got a knock on the door. It was a fire fighter telling us to get out. They were not sure that our apartment was clear. This scared Sara. They checked everything was fine. Sara took a while to calm down but is now.

so there!

I went running yesterday. I ran 2 miles yes you read that right I said 2 miles. I now have 3 weeks to get the remaining 1.2 miles. Go me!!!!!

Do you understand the words that are comin outta my mouth.

Quote from the Rush Hour movies. So I went bike riding yestarday and rode up and down some hills. The last time I had rode those hills it was really hard to get up them. Not this time! WAHOO!!!!!! Dan is working away same old story. Sara as been havign problems with other kids on the bus taking her glasses off her face. When the bus pulled up and Tuesday I could see her crying so I hopped on the bus when it stopped, the bus driver was right behind he headed down the isle. The two kids and the little girl next to her had been hitting her and trying to take her glasses again. I told the bus driver that I have had enough that I want her to sit up front and away from those kids. I then told Sara as we walked home that if she has said and done everything shr can think of to get the kids who pick on her to leave her alone and they don't to hit them hard like she has seen them do on TV. Sara is a victim and need to put someone in place so that the kids will stop picking on her. Abby is sick today. She threw up and has been just felling yucky. Jayne is as active as ever. She either wants to be outside or doing something. I am looking forward to her going to head start I think she is ready to go to school. That is about it for now I guess. I'm hoping this afternoon is better weather so I can run. ksksksksksk Tammy

Sara's Prayer

I said many times yesterday that I wanted the rain to wait until late last night. It Started sprinkling a little bit and Sara was outside. I looked out the door and saw her stop and bow her head ans fold he arms. She them said a prayer. I asked her "did you just say a prayer?" She said "Yes I prayed for heavenly Father to make it not rain." It was wonderful to see that she understands the power and prayer and love to talk to her Father in heaven.

Bread

I made bread last night. The girls were really excited. I got the dough in the pan, put them to rise, and told the girls to leave it alone. Abby required reminders. Dan and I were playing scrabble while it rose. I looked over to check on the bread and found Abygail with one of the loaf pocking it and kissing it.

I'm not ready yet.

Sara has been having a hard time listening to conference today. She finally got sent to her room. She just came out crying and told me that I know I am not making good choices. I am just not ready to be 6, I can't do it. I'm not ready. I'm not ready. How do you not laugh at that?

Yesterday we has parent teacher conferences, with Sara's teacher. Sara is doing well. Her teacher said she is a joy to have in the class, and the she likes to talk to her friends. She got good grades and we are proud of her. I took Abby to the doctor today for her cough, she has a sinus infection but her lugs are crystal clear. YEAH!! I went to the doctor and got back on my thyroid meds. The doctor said the once my thyroid levels are normal then I can really lose some weight. This doctor finally gave me some info on thyroid dysfunction and I feel like I understand why it is so important to t=stay on the meds. We are all very sad to have the cold and snow back. We want the warm weather.
